The summer season is full blown upon us. We’re enjoying it to the max! You might not being enjoying it so much if you’re pregnant. I hear that’s rough in the heat. But soon all the misery will be worth it right? One of my favorite things about summer is summer picnics! I love the smorgasbord of foods, the cool refreshing drinks, the yard games and all the people you get to see. My family tends to get together more in summer than any other time and I always enjoy that. Does your family do the same? Young cousins can play and get to know each other, older cousins can bond over raising the kids who are just like them, etc.

The days are officially getting shorter, but summer is nowhere near over! We’re still in love with the sun, the BBQs and all the celebrations summer has to offer. And for babies born in this magical time of the year, why not memorialize the sunny season with one of these Midsummer names? Solstice works for both summer and winter babies, representing as it does the longest day of the year (June 21) and the shortest (December 21). The solstice was – and in some parts of the world, still is – a hugely significant and meaningful event for many ancient cultures.

I don't know about you, but we love summer. Personally, I was born in June, at the cusp between spring and summer, and I love them both! Whether your baby is due in the summer months doesn't matter, you still might want to name them after something that brings to mind this time of year! Well, we're with you!
